Our property in North-Central Maryland was graced in September, 2000 by a brief outbreak
of Stinkhorn Mushrooms. Below are photos of the one Stinkhorn on our bark mulched path and
a series documenting my "incubator" and successful hatching of a trio of Stinkhorn "eggs", over the course of about a week.

The
wild Stinkhorn and the Carrion Beetles.
Note
the mites that they carry, crawling on their backs.
