In 1995 we spent almost one month being charged by wild animals, bitten and stung by insects, having our gear lost by airlines, our bodies battered by terrible trucks on bad roads. We had scars from thorns, from barbed wire and from stinging things. We had spiders in the bathroom, lizards in the bedroom, really strange sounds all around us in the darkness and very unusual things on our plates at dinner. We were shot up with chemicals, stuffed with pills and flown thousands of miles through seven time zones. For all of this we paid an enormous amount of money. We were tired, sore and broke...and we couldn't wait to do it all again! We had been on Safari in Africa....and 1999 we did do it again!
